Burridge 2, Comrades 7

Burridge AFC were knocked out of the Trophyman League cup after a dismal 7-2 defeat to Comrades.
Despite facing a team from a higher division Burridge never looked fired up for this occasion at all.
A mixture of woeful defending and a well drilled Comrades side eventually won it for them. Early chances came easily for Comrades as Burridge AFC found themselves behind early on.
And from then on it seemed like one way traffic as Comrades continued to heap misery on Burridge.
More goals followed in the first half and the second half as Comrades progressed through with ease.
But Burridge did score twice in the match after some good work.
And they didn’t give up which was key, and despite being heavily beaten they created a few chances late on, but the goals would have only come as a consolation.
