Burridge AFC will look to try and advance in the Trophyman League Cup when they play Comrades on Saturday after receiving a bye in the last round.

Despite a difficult league campaign, which has seen them lose their opening six league matches, they will aim to use the cup as a catalyst for their league form.

Burridge currently hold the worst defensive record in the division having conceded 30 goals in just six matches with just six goals of their own in reply.

Their opponents are a division above and have enjoyed a better start to the campaign with just one defeat in their four League games.

The two sides have met earlier in the season in the SDFA Senior Cup which finished in a 4-1 home defeat for Burridge when Comrades’ Michael Randall bagged a hat trick.

Randall has nine goals in nine starts which makes him the second top goal scorer in the Premier Division behind Questmap’s Paul Boucher.

Burridge play at home, the Burridge Shed, on Saturday (November 24) kicking off at 2pm.
